About the position

The Strategy Analyst at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta plays a crucial role in supporting the Payment Operations team by providing strategic input and direction on finance-related matters. This position involves coordinating with various leaders to manage finance-related requests, understanding the Payment Operations functions, and advising on budget impacts. The analyst will also participate in strategy processes, lead event planning, and collaborate with the Operations Data Analytics team to analyze data and present findings. The role is designed for a mid-level professional with strong project management skills and a focus on improving practices within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Payment Operations point of contact to FRFS Finance.
  • Provide strategic input and/or direction to the Payment Operations Officer team for finance-related considerations.
  • Coordinate with Payment Operations leaders to support finance-related requests such as travel forecasting and budget variances.
  • Build a strong understanding of Payment Operations functions and advise on key budget impacts or opportunities.
  • Complete projects and prepare recommendations for improving current practices or implementing new programs.
  • Participate in Operations strategy, objectives, and key results processes and periodic reporting.
  • Lead/support Payment Operations Group needs, including event planning and process documentation.
  • Coordinate with Operations Data Analytics team on quantitative and/or qualitative analysis; identify impacts and trends; monitor data; prepare reports and/or visualizations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent combination of directly related education and/or experience.
  • 3-6 years of experience in a relevant field.
  • Strong knowledge of budget and accounting principles.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work independently with general supervision and support projects/processes.
  • Strong project management skills, including organization, planning, execution, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in financial services or payment operations.
  • Familiarity with data analytics tools and techniques.
