About the position

The Federal Sales Account Manager - Army at Trellix is responsible for engaging with the Army account to deliver cybersecurity solutions. This role involves maintaining relationships with existing accounts, meeting revenue quotas, and driving new business opportunities. The position requires a strong focus on sales strategy, customer engagement, and collaboration with internal and external resources to ensure success in a competitive market.

Responsibilities

  • Sell Trellix products and services to the Army account and maintain relationships with existing accounts.
  • Meet and exceed assigned revenue quotas.
  • Drive new business pipeline with a hunter mentality.
  • Build a sales pipeline to 3x quota or greater.
  • Accurately forecast business commitments, upside, and pipeline on a regular basis.
  • Cold call and identify potential customers, initiating sales relationships and presenting Trellix security solutions.
  • Engage and work with military and civilian executives at the C-Level.
  • Close software, hardware, and services contracts exceeding $1M+.
  • Analyze customer needs and position Trellix products and services competitively.
  • Leverage channel partners to drive new revenue.

Requirements

  • Track record of growing a sales territory and revenue.
  • Must be a United States Citizen.
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • DoD Secret or higher security clearance or eligible for new clearance.
  • 10+ years of experience selling into Federal DOD.
  • Ability to effectively communicate the Trellix value proposition.
  • Consistent quota attainment in selling enterprise software, hardware, and services.
  • Willingness to travel 60% of the time.

Nice-to-haves

  • Direct experience selling into the US Army enterprise and programs.
  • Expertise in selling cybersecurity cloud-delivered and on-prem technology to new customers.
  • Working knowledge of channel sales model and ability to leverage the channel to drive revenue.
