About the position

The Federal Sales Enterprise Account Executive for the US Army & Air Force at Siemens is responsible for identifying and developing opportunities within the federal market, specifically targeting the Army and Air Force. This role focuses on driving sales through a deep understanding of customer needs and the federal landscape, while collaborating with various internal teams to deliver effective solutions. The position requires building and maintaining strategic relationships with senior leadership and industry partners to enhance Siemens' presence and success in federal accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Develop customer relationships and maintain strategic account plans to meet sales revenue targets.
  • Identify new customers in the assigned vertical market and establish an installed base.
  • Understand customer's business processes and develop strategic account plans to support their digital transformation journey.
  • Build and maintain relationships with senior leadership through personal engagement.
  • Collaborate with the Federal ecosystem, including system integrators and defense contractors, to maximize support and portfolio coverage.
  • Engage in industry associations to develop domain expertise and represent Siemens as a thought leader.
  • Provide transparency on account reporting, forecasting, and planning activities.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in production and manufacturing environments related to US Army and Air Force.
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical/electrical/computer engineering or computer science.
  • Successful track record in Sales, Business Development, or Account Management in a similar industrial portfolio.
  • Proven success in operating with multiple channels to market, including direct sales and distributors.
  • History of growing account relationships in new business areas.
  • Excellent understanding of customers, the Federal market, and business operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive effective sales campaigns.
  • Legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the US Army / US Air Force (civilian or military service).
  • Knowledge of Defense Contracting (e.g., IDIQ, BPA, GSA).
  • Experience in industrial automation and networking.
  • Interest in new technologies such as AI, Digital Twin, and Edge.
  • MBA or advanced degree.
