Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted advisor to middle market clients, providing strategic federal tax credit consulting services.
- Document eligibility and qualification of clients for federal tax credits in collaboration with industry experts.
- Research and draft technical memoranda related to federal tax credit matters.
- Support industry experts with tax technical issues.
- Develop industry thought leadership by writing articles and preparing presentations.
- Understand each client's business to become a functional expert in relevant technical areas.
- Assist in managing client engagement staffing, billings/collections, and ensure client profitability targets are met.
- Utilize entrepreneurial skills to network and build strong client relationships.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in tax consulting or compliance, preferably with a focus on federal tax credits.
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with the Inflation Reduction Act and related federal tax credits.
- Familiarity with energy efficiency and alternative power incentives.
- Previous experience in a CPA or advisory firm.
