About the position

As a Federal Support Engineer 2 at Datadog, you will be part of a dedicated technical solutions team that plays a crucial role in the company's growth by providing exceptional support to clients, particularly in the public sector. Your primary responsibility will be to engage with clients through various channels, including a ticketing system, live chat, and phone, to resolve their technical support requests. You will empower clients to effectively utilize the Datadog platform, ensuring their satisfaction and success. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, as you will need to reproduce issues and explore the extensive range of integrations that Datadog supports, which exceeds 400 integrations. In addition to client interactions, you will be responsible for building out documentation and knowledge-based articles that cover a variety of technologies. Your insights from client interactions will also contribute to product discussions with internal teams, helping to shape the future of Datadog's offerings. The position is based in a hybrid work environment, where you will be expected to work from a Datadog office 3 to 5 days per week, fostering collaboration and creativity within the team. Responsibilities

  • Engage with clients via multiple channels (ticketing system, live chat, and phone) to resolve their technical support requests and empower them to use our platform.
  • Reproduce issues and dive into the 400+ integrations that Datadog works with.
  • Build out documentation and knowledge-based articles for a variety of technologies.
  • Participate in product conversations with internal teams based on feedback from client interactions.
  • Work from a Datadog office 3 - 5 days per week.

Requirements

  • Previous experience supporting clients in the public sector.
  • Self-motivated, detail-attentive, and a desire for continuous learning.
  • Critical thinker with a client-centric approach.
  • Some programming experience and basic knowledge of Linux.
  • Ability to work a rotating schedule that requires weekend availability.
  • Degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
