About the position
The Federal Tax Associate position at RSM involves working with a diverse range of clients, from large corporations to small businesses, to provide tax-related services. Associates will develop strong relationships with clients by understanding their unique challenges and needs. The role emphasizes teamwork and collaboration, allowing associates to engage in various aspects of tax specialty areas, including corporate taxation, individual taxation, and tax planning. Responsibilities
- Work on a team focusing on various tax specialty areas including corporate taxation, individual taxation, and federal credits.
- Complete tax planning and research.
- Prepare federal and state & local tax returns.
- Understand tax regulations and accounting pronouncements.
Requirements
- Minimum B.A. or B.S. degree or equivalent from an accredited university.
- Accounting major.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA preferred.
- Ability to travel to assigned client locations and arrange reliable transportation.
Nice-to-haves
- Working toward the successful completion of the CPA exam.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
