About the position
Baker Tilly is seeking a Federal Tax Experienced Associate to join their team. This role focuses on providing industry-specific tax advisory and compliance services to middle market clients. Responsibilities
- Provide federal tax compliance and advisory services to S-corporations, partnerships, individuals, and corporations.
- Participate in tax research projects and assist in drafting IRS responses and addressing tax authority inquiries.
- Develop recommendations for clients and collaborate with leadership to strategize solutions.
- Communicate and collaborate with specialty tax practices on complex tax matters.
- Engage in direct on-the-job coaching and mentoring, and participate in firm-wide learning and development programs.
- Network and build strong relationships with clients and internal teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, law, or a related business degree with sufficient coursework to sit for the CPA and/or Bar exam.
- CPA or JD license preferred.
- One or more years of experience in federal tax compliance and consulting services in a public accounting firm.
- Demonstrated skills in time management, communication, interpersonal skills, relationship building, collaboration, and problem solving.
- Strong leadership, project management, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
