Baker Tilly is seeking a Federal Tax Senior Associate to join their team, focusing on delivering industry-specific tax advisory and compliance services to middle market clients. Responsibilities

• Provide tax compliance and advisory services to S-corporations, partnerships, individuals, and corporations.
• Participate in tax research projects on various tax issues and help draft IRS responses.
• Team with leaders on special projects in corporate and flow-through taxation, including accounting methods and ASC740.
• Develop recommendations for clients and collaborate with leadership on strategies.
• Communicate with specialty tax practices on complex tax matters in various areas.
• Engage in direct on-the-job coaching and mentoring, and participate in firm-wide learning programs.
• Network and build strong relationships internally and with clients.
• Support the growth and development of team members through mentoring.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, law, or a related business degree with sufficient coursework to sit for the CPA or Bar exam.
• CPA or JD license preferred.
• Two or more years of experience in federal tax compliance and consulting services in a public accounting firm.
• Demonstrated skills in time management, communication, interpersonal skills, and relationship building.
• Strong leadership, project management, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
