About the position

The Bilingual Clinical Case Manager for Home Study & Post Release Services is a vital role focused on providing comprehensive case management services to unaccompanied immigrant children and youth who have been released from federal custody. This position is based in Federal Way, WA, and requires the candidate to be bilingual in Spanish and English. The Clinical Case Manager will engage in mental health interventions and case management, traveling across the country to conduct home visits and support families in their adjustment and integration into the United States. The primary goal is to achieve family stabilization, equipping families with the necessary information, skills, and confidence to access essential community resources such as medical, legal, mental health, and educational services. The Clinical Case Manager will manage three cases at a time, conducting weekly in-person visits for the first two months and monthly visits for the remaining four months of each case, which typically spans six months. This role involves frequent local travel, with occasional national travel, and requires a commitment to providing trauma-informed care and crisis interventions as needed. The position operates on a hybrid schedule, allowing for flexibility with two days in the office and the remainder of the week working remotely. The work hours are full-time, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and the position is classified as non-exempt under FLSA regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide weekly home visits to achieve family stabilization.
  • Assess safety, appropriateness of child/youth's placement, and sponsor's fit as the caretaker.
  • Conduct comprehensive age-appropriate assessments to ensure basic needs are met and provide the tools and resources for families to thrive and succeed in their community.
  • Provide ongoing case management and conduct ongoing assessment of child/youth and family's needs in areas such as education, health, mental health, legal/immigration proceedings, and independent living.
  • Provide trauma-informed crisis interventions directly or connect families to third-party resources and services to ensure child/youth's safety, care, and well-being.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in social work, psychology, sociology, or other relevant behavioral science with direct clinical experience as a program requirement; OR Bachelor's degree with at least five years of clinical experience.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English, written, read, and verbal.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to developing a thorough knowledge and application of the Sanctuary model and other organizational policies & practices.
  • Participate in staff development, in-services, and training related to equity and inclusion in the workplace.
