About the position

The Federal Work-Study 2-D Studio Lab Attendant position is a student role focused on monitoring and assisting in art and design studio activities. The attendant will ensure the safety and security of the studio environment while providing support to students during open lab hours. This position is ideal for students who have been awarded Federal Work-Study for the academic year and are looking to gain experience in a creative educational setting.

Responsibilities

• Monitor student use of the designated art and design spaces during open labs/studios.
• Clean up at the end of each shift.
• Ensure the safety and security of the equipment in the classroom.
• Turn off all equipment and verify the room is locked and secure.
• Assist in art and design classes and events as needed, accommodating the student's schedule.

Requirements

• Must be awarded and accepted Federal Work-Study for 2024-2025.
• Must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress for financial aid.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with 2-D art media.
• Completion of 2-D art and design courses.
• Knowledge of 2-D art and design supplies and equipment.
