About the position

The Federal Work-Study Digital Photography Studio Lab Attendant position is a student role focused on monitoring and assisting in the use of art and design spaces, specifically within a digital photography studio. The attendant is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of equipment, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting course activities as needed, all while accommodating the schedules of student workers.

Responsibilities

• Monitor student use of designated art and design spaces during open labs/studios.
• Clean up at the end of each shift.
• Ensure the safety and security of classroom equipment.
• Turn off all equipment and verify that the room is locked and secure.
• Assist in art and design classes and events as needed.

Requirements

• Must be awarded and accepted for Federal Work-Study for 2024-2025.
• Must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress for financial aid.
• Ability to handle tools and materials according to safety guidelines.
• Effective communication skills with diverse groups.
• Conflict management and teamwork abilities.
