About the position

Third Street Academy is seeking various part-time school personnel for the FALL 2024/SPRING 2025 academic term. The positions available include Health/P.E Teacher, After School Assistant, Office Assistant, and Teacher Assistants. These roles are designed to support the educational environment and assist students in their learning and development.

Responsibilities

• Teach fundamentals of sports and healthy living lessons as a Health/P.E Teacher.
• Assist students with homework, snacks, and playtime as an After School Assistant.
• Provide administrative support to the school Principal as an Office Assistant, including welcoming visitors, answering phone calls, and maintaining files.
• Support lead teachers in the classroom as Teacher Assistants by interacting with students, monitoring progress, and managing classroom activities.

Requirements

• Must be a student eligible for Federal Work Study positions as determined by the ECU Financial Aid Office.
• Education, Physical Education, and Psychology majors preferred, but all other majors are accepted.
