About the position

The Federal Work-Study Product Design Studio Lab Attendant position is a student role focused on monitoring and assisting in the use of art and design spaces at Central Oregon Community College. The attendant will ensure the safety and security of equipment, assist with product design course activities, and maintain a clean and organized environment during open lab hours.

Responsibilities

• Monitor student use of designated art and design spaces during open labs/studios.
• Clean up at the end of each shift.
• Ensure the safety and security of classroom equipment.
• Turn off all equipment and verify that the room is locked and secure.
• Assist in art and design classes and events as needed, accommodating the student's schedule.

Requirements

• Must be awarded and accepted for Federal Work-Study for 2024-2025.
• Must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress for financial aid.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with product design software and media.
• Completion of product design courses.
• Knowledge of art and design supplies and equipment.
