About the position

The District Federation Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of all county offices within a designated district in Central Georgia. This role involves managing personnel, ensuring compliance with corporate policies, and providing leadership and support to county Farm Bureau organizations. The manager will also engage in financial planning, membership growth, and communication with legislators, while serving as an ambassador for the Farm Bureau at various levels.

Responsibilities

  • Implement directives of the Field Services Department.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of all county offices within the district.
  • Promote compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
  • Oversee recruitment, interviewing, training, performance evaluations, time card approvals, and disciplinary procedures.
  • Familiarize with all phases of Farm Bureau programs and assist counties with these programs.
  • Provide leadership to the County Farm Bureau and meet with County Boards as necessary.
  • Oversee financial planning and budget oversight for the district.
  • Develop leadership in county officers, directors, and volunteers.
  • Assist with membership growth, acquisition, and maintenance.
  • Support participation in the Policy Development process and implementation.
  • Represent the County Farm Bureau to the State Office and vice versa.
  • Maintain communication with county leadership and members.
  • Assist county officers and directors in efficient office operations.
  • Consult on projects and programs, providing necessary training.
  • Encourage membership participation in all Farm Bureau services and programs.
  • Coordinate and plan events and programs within the district.
  • Compile reports and ensure thorough documentation at all levels.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Business, or related field required.
  • 2+ years of business management or supervisory experience.
  • Ability to supervise and provide direction to multiple personnel.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing workloads.
  • Self-motivated with initiative and decision-making capabilities.
  • Good people skills and ability to communicate effectively with employees and volunteers.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret various documents and regulations.
  • Basic computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office and web-based applications.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Valid Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record.

Nice-to-haves

  • Production agricultural background preferred.
  • Experience in public relations and customer service.
