About the position
Leanna Lee-Sydnor LCSW Psychotherapy Services LLC is seeking Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSWs) for 1099 contract roles in New York and Connecticut. The position involves providing mental health counseling through an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) with a focus on flexibility and client referrals. Clinicians will conduct therapy sessions, provide crisis intervention, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals while maintaining accurate documentation.
Responsibilities
- Conduct 55-minute therapy sessions with individuals, families, or groups to address mental health concerns and promote overall well-being.
- Provide crisis intervention services to clients experiencing immediate emotional distress or psychiatric emergencies.
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations to assess clients' mental health conditions and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and community resources to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.
- Advocate for clients' rights and access to necessary services.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes.
Requirements
- Valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in Connecticut or New York.
- 1-3+ years of experience in mental health counseling.
- Ability to offer in-person sessions at least one day a week.
- Own malpractice insurance.
- CAQH profile and NPI number.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in Telehealth.
- Knowledge of systems theory and ability to apply it in assessing and addressing clients' needs.
- Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum and providing tailored support.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
