Feed Mill Mixer/Operator

About the position

The Feed Mill Mixer/Operator is primarily responsible for mixing micro ingredients according to specified formulas and ensuring they are staged in an orderly manner. This role includes performing housekeeping activities, maintaining and repairing equipment, conducting quality checks on ingredients, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Mix and route feed according to formulas, procedures, and schedule utilizing batching controller and mixing equipment.
• Communicate and coordinate batching schedule and production with appropriate personnel to maximize efficiency.
• Accurately complete and maintain assigned reports, logs, and documents in an orderly manner.
• Monitor and adjust equipment accordingly to ensure quality product delivery.
• Perform preventive maintenance and cleaning of equipment as needed.
• Communicate equipment malfunctions to appropriate personnel promptly.
• Perform routine housekeeping to keep designated areas clean.
• Comply with all company policies, FSMA regulations, and local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to perform basic math functions (i.e. proportions, percentages, area, volume, etc.).
• Possess basic computer knowledge and usage abilities.
• Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate.
• Ability to communicate effectively, and read and write legibly.
• Possess sound work ethic, honesty, and moral character.
