About the position

The Feed Mill Mixer/Operator is primarily responsible for mixing micro ingredients according to specified formulas and ensuring they are staged in an orderly manner. This role includes performing housekeeping activities, maintaining and repairing equipment, and conducting quality checks on ingredients. The operator must also prevent theft or loss of product and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Mix and route feed according to formulas, procedures, and schedule using batching controller and mixing equipment.
• Communicate and coordinate batching schedule and production with appropriate personnel to maximize efficiency.
• Accurately complete and maintain assigned reports, logs, and documents.
• Monitor and adjust equipment settings to deliver a high-quality product.
• Perform preventive maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
• Communicate equipment malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
• Perform routine housekeeping to keep designated areas clean.
• Comply with all company policies and regulations.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to perform basic math functions (proportions, percentages, area, volume).
• Basic computer knowledge and usage abilities.
• Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to read and write legibly.
• Sound work ethic, honesty, and moral character.
