About the position

The Feed Mixer position at Aventure Staffing involves working in a local feed manufacturing facility in Sheldon, Iowa. The role requires a team player with a background in production, attention to detail, and mechanical aptitude to produce high-quality livestock products. The Mixer will work both independently and as part of a team, ensuring accurate mixing of ingredients according to established formulas and maintaining safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Mix premixes no more than five runs ahead in premix tubs.
• Utilize and complete mixing schedule worksheet to eliminate foul-ups, double scale dumps, etc.
• Make sure scales and liquid meters are free and always working properly.
• Ensure all pre-mixing and mixing is done accurately in accordance with the formula card.
• Check ingredients and mixed batches for color changes or possible contamination.
• Keep accurate records during the entire process.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Previous experience in feed or production related work
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements, FSMA, and Feed & Food Safety Plan.
• Good communication, verbal, written and math skills.
• Thorough understanding of cGMP's.
