About the position
The Feedmill Maintenance position is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of equipment and facilities by performing maintenance and repairs. This role involves proactive problem-solving, conducting performance evaluations, and implementing preventive maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and enhance equipment reliability.
Responsibilities
- Answers calls for maintenance throughout the facility
- Performs repairs to equipment and the facility as needed
- Proactively searches out problems and abnormalities with equipment and the facility
- Completes performance evaluations on equipment in assigned areas using equipment performance as a diagnostic tool
- Performs Predictive and Preventive Maintenance on equipment to minimize and eliminate downtime
- Participates in RCA to identify and repair Root Causes of equipment failure
- Orders parts and materials to complete projects and affect repairs on equipment
- Troubleshoots problems with equipment to determine actual cause of failure
- Creates work orders to obtain parts for repair and modification
- Enters hours worked and assigns hours worked to equipment through the SAP system
Requirements
- Experience in maintenance and repair of industrial equipment
- Knowledge of predictive and preventive maintenance techniques
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment failures
- Familiarity with SAP or similar maintenance management systems
Nice-to-haves
- Certification in industrial maintenance or related field
- Experience in a feedmill or agricultural environment
