About the position
The Fellow Technical Advisor position is a part-time remote role focused on providing expert project management support for the Savannah River Site. The advisor will engage in various project management activities, including scheduling, estimating, planning, and strategic execution, while also mentoring project managers and overseeing operations related to plutonium facilities.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert project management support in scheduling, estimating, planning, project execution, and strategic planning.
- Perform major organization assessments and project leadership assessments.
- Interface with NNSA HQ to support the SRPPF organization.
- Mentor project/program managers and project control personnel in 413.38 implementation and project execution.
- Lead and participate in major project reviews such as contractor red/green team reviews and Independent Project Reviews (IPRs).
- Consult on all aspects of plutonium facility operations, including multi-shift operations and waste management.
- Advise management on developing integrated team structures and performance evaluations.
- Oversee support operations involving multiple projects and personnel.
Requirements
- Master's degree in a technical field with 25 years of broad experience in engineering, operations, marketing, strategic and business planning, or a bachelor's degree with 30 years of experience.
- 20 or more years of experience working in plutonium facilities or on plutonium projects.
- 15 or more years of 413.3B project management experience.
- 5 or more years of experience on NNSA/DOE capital line-item projects.
- 10 or more years working at the Savannah River Site is preferred.
Nice-to-haves
