About the position

The Fellow Technical Advisor will provide expert project management support for nuclear projects, specifically focusing on scheduling, estimating, planning, and strategic execution. This role involves mentoring project managers, conducting major project reviews, and advising on plutonium facility operations. The position requires a strong background in nuclear project management and the ability to develop training programs for project management personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert project management support in scheduling, estimating, planning, project execution, and strategic planning.
  • Perform major organization assessments and project leadership assessments.
  • Mentor project/program managers and project control personnel in 413.3B implementations and project execution.
  • Lead and participate in major project reviews such as contractor red/green team reviews and Independent Project Reviews (IPR).
  • Consult on all aspects of plutonium facility operations, including waste management and radiological operations.
  • Advise management in developing integrated team structures and performance evaluations.
  • Oversee support operations involving multiple projects and personnel.
  • Develop and provide training programs for project management and project controls personnel.

Requirements

  • 20 or more years of experience working in nuclear/plutonium facilities or on nuclear/plutonium projects.
  • 15 or more years of 413.3B project management experience.
  • 5 or more years of experience on NNSA/DOE capital line-item projects.
  • 20 or more years of experience developing and providing training.
  • Key role in EVMS Certification at 1 or more DOE sites.
  • Must be able to provide professional references.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE 'Q' security clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • 10 or more years working at the Savannah River Site is preferred.
  • PMP Certification.
  • PE License in the state of SC.
  • Active DOE 'L' or 'Q' security clearance.
