About the position

The Client Account Manager (CAM) at AECOM will play a crucial role in managing relationships with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and other federal clients. This position focuses on aligning AECOM's services with the strategic objectives of FEMA, driving business development, and ensuring exceptional service delivery in emergency management and disaster recovery sectors. The CAM will collaborate with various internal teams and maintain an annual account plan to achieve sustainable revenue growth.

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate and maintain trusted relationships with key stakeholders across multiple FEMA directorates.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for growth within the FEMA portfolio.
  • Maintain and update an annual account plan with defined year-over-year goals.
  • Work closely with internal teams to coordinate service delivery and promote client satisfaction.
  • Track and assess client performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Lead the preparation of proposals and presentations for FEMA opportunities.
  • Prepare and conduct regular account reviews with AECOM leaders.
  • Stay informed about trends and changes in emergency management and disaster recovery.

Requirements

  • BA/BS plus at least 12 years of relevant experience in emergency management or similar fields.
  • Experience working with federal clients, specifically FEMA.
  • Proven track record in client account management and business development.
  • Strong understanding of FEMA's mission, programs, and procurement processes.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience in managing complex projects and cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive business growth through effective relationship management.
  • Strong proposal development and presentation skills.
  • Ability to analyze performance metrics and implement strategies for improvement.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in FEMA functional areas, focusing on Response & Recovery and Mitigation.
  • Experience working with US Federal government agencies on Architect-Engineering programs.
  • Experience in both infrastructure and advisory services.
