About the position
The Senior-Level FEMA Consultant at Serco plays a crucial role in supporting the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Public Assistance (PA) disaster recovery initiatives across Zone 2 in the Midwest. This position involves providing expertise in various disciplines to assist state, tribal, territorial, and local governments, as well as some private non-profits, in their recovery efforts following man-made and natural disasters. The role requires flexibility for deployment within Zone 2, with a focus on delivering efficient support to FEMA's mission.
Responsibilities
- Provide expertise in various disciplines to support FEMA's Public Assistance initiatives.
- Assist state, tribal, territorial, and local governments in disaster recovery efforts.
- Deploy to various locations within Zone 2 with short notice to provide necessary support.
- Work independently and collaboratively under tight deadlines and stressful conditions.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience with FEMA Public Assistance (PA) or relevant experience.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
- Ability to obtain and maintain DHS Public Trust clearance.
- Must be a United States Citizen.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Comfortable using a Smart Phone.
- Ability to go on 6-12 month deployments as needed.
- Sound technical knowledge of discipline's standard concepts, principles, and techniques.
Nice-to-haves
- Knowledge of the FEMA Public Assistance Program/Policy.
- Trained in the PA delivery model preferred.
- Active FEMA badge.
Benefits
- Competitive salary range of $62,400.00 to $197,600.00 based on experience and qualifications.
