About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse to join our BrightStar Care team in Clarendon Hills, IL. This full-time position focuses on providing exceptional patient care across various settings, including critical care and behavioral health. The ideal candidate will possess clinical expertise, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care, ensuring the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
• Administer medications accurately and monitor patients for any adverse reactions.
• Conduct assessments for toddlers and patients in critical care settings.
• Perform venipuncture and other necessary medical procedures with precision.
• Implement infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Participate in critical care transport as needed, ensuring safe and efficient transfer of patients.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
• Engage in esthetic laser treatment as part of holistic patient care when applicable.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families on health management, treatment options, and preventive care.

Requirements

• Current nursing license in good standing.
• Strong knowledge of medication administration protocols and infection control practices.
• Familiarity with behavioral health principles is an asset.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Experience in Hoyer lifts, Straight Cath, and Spinal Cord injury.

Nice-to-haves
