About the position
The Fence Yard Manager will oversee the management of yard materials including wood, chain link, PVC, aluminum, and concrete. This role is essential for ensuring the efficient operation of the yard, maintaining inventory, and supporting the installation crews. The position offers opportunities for growth within a rapidly expanding company that values strong work ethic and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Manage yard materials and inventory including wood, chain link, PVC, aluminum, and concrete.
- Ensure the yard is organized and materials are easily accessible for installation crews.
- Oversee the operation of forklifts and other equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with company policies.
- Assist in loading and unloading materials for projects.
- Drive trucks with trailers to transport materials as required.
Requirements
- General labor experience in a construction or similar environment.
- Minimum of 2 years of forklift experience (certification recommended but not required).
- Valid Driver's License with no suspensions within the last 3 years; CDL is a plus.
- Previous experience driving a truck with a trailer is required.
- Experience driving 2-3 ton trucks and towing trailers.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work in various environments.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with reading and managing material lists.
- Bilingual in Spanish.
