About the position

The Festival Video Lead, Digital is responsible for recording and editing video content for the Sundance Institute's Festival, ensuring high-quality delivery of live events and recorded sessions. This role supports the technical aspects of video production and live streaming, working closely with the LiveOps Support Lead to facilitate the Festival's digital presence.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure panels, Q&A's, and other video assets are properly recorded using Zoom or Streamyard.
  • Edit recordings to include branding assets and ensure content quality for public viewing.
  • Deliver final edited files to the LiveOps Support Lead for review and approval.
  • Assist with posting approved video files to the content management system (CMS).
  • Support the technical production of live events and troubleshoot any arising issues.

Requirements

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.
  • 2 years of relevant experience in video editing or digital live event support.
  • Ability to calmly troubleshoot technical issues in a live event environment, including camera, audio, and network issues in a Zoom meeting.
  • Working knowledge of livestream technologies.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud including Premiere and Photoshop.
  • Experience working with Google Workspace including Drive, Docs, Spreadsheet, and Slides.
  • Strong communication skills to mitigate conflict and facilitate positive customer relations.
  • Ability to maintain a suitable homework environment, free from noise/distractions.
  • Ability to maintain a fast and reliable network connection.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience managing a YouTube channel including trimming videos and managing subtitles preferred.
