About the position
The Field Installation Technician role involves providing excellent customer service while performing installations and troubleshooting at customer locations. The technician will be responsible for installing Internet equipment, conducting service visits, and updating databases, ensuring that customers receive functional service and support.
Responsibilities
- Perform site surveys for potential customers to evaluate serviceability.
- Diagnose customer problems at service calls and restore functional service to existing customers.
- Install new customers with Internet service, including mounting equipment and running cables.
- Configure routers and customer computers for Internet access.
- Perform equipment upgrades for existing customers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Must pass a drug screening test and a criminal background check.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate accountability.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-change environment.
