Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair fiber optic systems for residential and commercial customers.
  • Ensure adequate performance of internet, phone, and television services as applicable.
  • Complete pre-install work orders and post-install service verification to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Place aerial or buried fiber optic drops and install interior and exterior wiring.
  • Observe all safety rules and OSHA regulations during installations.
  • Work at heights using various types of ladders and in confined spaces as needed.
  • Assist other technicians in their duties when requested, promoting teamwork.
  • Maintain a positive and professional appearance and demeanor when communicating with customers.
  • Adapt to new processes and information frequently as required by the job.
  • Use internal systems for work order notation and timekeeping.
  • Keep customer appointments and maintain minimum acceptable metrics for Repeats, Productivity, and Completions.
  • Be willing to relocate periodically to maintain client work volumes.

Requirements

  • Experience with fiber optic internet and home phone service is required.
  • Must have own truck, van, or SUV with a ladder rack.
  • Must possess own tools necessary to perform the job.
  • An Android Samsung Galaxy S23 smartphone or newer is required.
  • A laptop with Microsoft Excel is required.
  • Ability to lift up to 80lbs unassisted is necessary.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to multi-task are essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork are required.
  • Must pass a background check, MVR screen, and drug test.
  • Accountability and dependability are crucial for this role.
  • Willingness to work overtime and on weekends as needed.
