About the position
C2 Technology Group is seeking experienced Fiber Technicians for a full-time role focused on the installation and maintenance of fiber optic and copper cabling infrastructure. The position requires a high degree of low-voltage knowledge and the ability to work overtime and travel short durations throughout Alabama and neighboring states. The role offers opportunities for career advancement in the communications industry.
Responsibilities
- Install UTP, fiber optic, and multi-conductor copper cabling infrastructure.
- Test and certify permanent links and complete necessary installation and quality assurance reports.
- Interact with project managers and engineers to perform surveys and plan tasks.
- Manage a crew of installers and ensure project completion.
- Promote and maintain a safe working environment and complete job site safety reports.
Requirements
- BICSI Certification is a plus.
- Experience with LAN, inter-building backbone, security, and audio/video cabling.
- Verifiable credentials supporting knowledge and experience in cabling.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with industry-recognized certification and test equipment.
- Good communication skills and ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
