About the position

The Injection Mold Specialist will operate and maintain vacuum injection molding machines to produce high-quality fiberglass components. This role emphasizes attention to detail, safety protocols, and quality assurance throughout the production process.

Responsibilities

• Cut fiberglass mat to pattern.
• Clean, prep, solo, and gelcoat injection molds.
• Operate injection molding machines and monitor the production process to ensure optimal performance.
• Grind, cut, and finish fiberglass components.
• Conduct quality inspections of molded products using tools such as calipers and gauges.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with machinery or production processes.
• Perform routine maintenance on injection molding equipment to ensure reliability and efficiency.
• Assemble components as needed and handle materials throughout the production line.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize production schedules and workflows.
• Utilize logic controllers for machine operation and adjustments.
• Safely operate forklifts for materials handling as required.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with safety standards.

Requirements

• Experience with plastics injection molding processes.
• Familiarity with quality inspection techniques.
• Knowledge of materials handling practices.
• Ability to operate press brake machines.
• Knowledge of plastics extrusion and blow molding processes is a plus.
• Experience with logic controllers is preferred.
