Responsibilities

• Read, understand, and interpret blueprints and isometric drawings to determine the scope of work.
• Prepare, fit, layout, fabricate, and assemble pipe and other components as required by the blueprints.
• Pattern, cut, and roll fiberglass materials.
• Properly use resin and putties in the fabrication process.
• Mix catalyst into resin and saturate cloth and mat with the mixture using a brush.
• Lay out fiberglass mat and use rollers to ensure even resin distribution.
• Laminate layers of fiberglass on molds to form small parts.
• Place layers of mat and cloth in molds and smooth out wrinkles with a hand roller.
• Trim excess material from molds using hand tools.
• Sand and grind parts as needed.
• Prep and paint parts as required.
• Maintain accurate records of hours worked on work orders.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 1 year of experience as a fiberglass fitter or in a similar role.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Experience with laminating and working with fiberglass pipes.
