About the position

The position involves active participation in a team focused on advanced research and development of next-generation quantum electronic materials and devices. The role emphasizes collaboration and innovation to contribute to research that aims for a prosperous, secure, and sustainable future.

Responsibilities

• Support materials characterization, process development, and failure analysis efforts in collaboration with senior technical staff.
• Present ideas and results through effective technical presentations and reports.
• Write technical papers and contribute to research proposals.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience with FIBSEM is desired.
• Expertise with focused ion beam scanning electron microscopy (FIB/SEM) for imaging and compositional analysis using energy dispersive x-ray (EDX) spectroscopy.
• Experience with transmission electron microscopy (TEM) sample preparation is a plus.
• Experience with top-down delayering and circuit editing is a plus.
• Experience in semiconductor process development and failure analysis of semiconductor devices is a plus.
• A history of productive research as evident in work history, publications, patents, or presentations is a plus.
• Industry experience is a plus.
• Experience with data handling software such as Excel, JMP, Python, or IGOR is desired.
• B.S. in Materials Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related fields.

• Base salary range of $120,715 - $150,895 + bonus + benefits.
