About the position

The Field Accounting Analyst, Warehouse Management Operations plays a vital role in providing financial support for CJ-operated distribution facilities across the nation. This position is based in Des Plaines, IL, and involves collaboration with various teams to enhance financial performance and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Monthly support of business close including expense accruals and financial analysis.
• Provide summaries for leaders and key takeaways for performance improvement.
• Overall ownership of the P&L for specific warehouse facilities.
• Daily and weekly support of Operations including expense reviews and approvals.
• Analyze trends and complete variance analysis for Operations team.
• Develop analyses/reports and present findings to management.
• Collaborate with Field Analysts, Accounting partners, Finance leadership, and Operations leaders.
• Design and implement financial controls to achieve profitability and compliance standards.
• Drive process improvements and make recommendations to leadership.
• Lead the team through process change and standardization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience.
• 2-4 years of experience in a finance or accounting-related position.
• Highly motivated and detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines during financial close.
• Independent performer capable of making decisions and seeking guidance when necessary.
• Comfortable in a changing environment and eager to embrace changes that improve efficiencies.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel).
• General ledger knowledge in financial systems such as SAP is beneficial.
