About the position

The Payroll Manager is responsible for overseeing all field accounting functions, including payroll, timekeeping, billing, and administrative activities. This role involves interfacing with corporate and client accounting departments to ensure compliance and integrity in accounting processes, while also supervising a team of timekeepers and accounting clerks. The position emphasizes ethical standards and proper record-keeping, alongside managing staff retention and addressing accounts receivable issues.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all field accounting functions including payroll, timekeeping, billing, and administrative activities.
• Interface with corporate accounting departments to ensure control and integrity of accounting processes.
• Coordinate with client accounting departments to meet required deliverables.
• Supervise and manage activities of timekeepers and accounting clerks at the site.
• Manage staff retention and union craft fringe benefit remittance process at the site level.
• Address and manage open accounts receivable issues.
• Conduct all work within company guidelines, policies, and ethical standards.
• Maintain business records and reports accurately to protect company and client assets.
• Evaluate subordinates based on their commitment to the company's Code of Ethics.

Requirements

• Associates degree in a related field or equivalent years of related work experience in a Maintenance/Modification or Construction environment.
