About the position

At DuPont, we are committed to working on things that matter, such as providing clean water to over a billion people, producing essential materials for everyday technology, and ensuring worker safety globally. We are a premier multi-industrial company focused on delivering sustainable solutions that create real value. Our collaborative spirit drives us to work together as a team, valuing diverse thoughts and perspectives. As we embark on a strategic separation into three independent publicly traded companies, we are looking for talented individuals to join us in this exciting transition. This process, expected to take 18-24 months, will create focused businesses that can better serve our customers and unlock long-term value for stakeholders. We are dedicated to supporting our employees throughout this transition and are eager to welcome new talent who are passionate about contributing to our ongoing success. In this role, you will work with minimal supervision, taking responsibility for design and manufacturing functions required by key customers. You will collaborate closely with sales and manufacturing teams to achieve customer design targets and goals. This position supports the Bay Area in Northern California, with a preference for candidates located in that region. You will engage with OEM engineers, Manufacturer's Representatives, Distribution Partners, and Territory Sales Managers to implement Laird solutions for existing and next-generation programs, as well as cost reduction initiatives. Your role will involve attending customer meetings, providing technical design support, and building relationships with key stakeholders. You will utilize Laird and DuPont products to develop insightful design solutions, present these solutions using modeling and simulation, and manage projects through a product development design team. You will also be responsible for originating and releasing final production documentation, ensuring it meets critical dimensions and tolerances while considering manufacturing restrictions. Your ability to set priorities and manage multiple concurrent programs will be essential, as will your commitment to maintaining quality and safety standards. This position may require extensive travel to customer sites, accounting for approximately 50% of your time, to provide design-specific solutions.
