About the position

The Field Application Engineer III at Avnet is responsible for driving the design chain value proposition by generating design wins in technologies and registrations for customers engaged in product design. This role involves interfacing with engineering departments of customers and suppliers, providing pre/post sales support, and performing various technical functions to support product design and development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement technical sales account penetration strategies in each market.
• Present new products and technologies to current and potential customers.
• Understand customer needs relative to products, technology, and design processes.
• Identify and develop relationships with key technical decision makers in each account.
• Collaborate with design, production, and engineering departments to develop technical strategies.
• Market supported lines to the sales team to drive adoption of solutions that meet customer needs.
• Provide application and product level sales training to the sales team.
• Identify and track design opportunities from concept to production.
• Create presentations and sales tools to enhance technical value and become a trusted advisor.
• Manage the product lifecycle through communication and consultation with customers, sales, and vendors.
• Research industry players to communicate trends and directions to customers.
• Attend technical training to maintain necessary certifications.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a related field.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
