About the position

The Field Application Engineer at Sabanto will be instrumental in introducing and integrating the company's autonomous agricultural technologies into new markets. This role involves direct interaction with customers and dealers, providing education, training, and support to ensure successful implementation of Sabanto's systems in agricultural operations.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the sales team to identify, contact, and visit prospective customers to measure their interest in trying out demonstration systems.
• Teach customers how to incorporate and use the demonstration system in their operations.
• Host and conduct field demonstrations on customer farms and at public field day events.
• Educate customers and dealers on integrating Sabanto's technology into their operations.
• Search for new Sabanto dealers and train them to assemble, install, and operate autonomy systems at dealer/customer sites.
• Perform follow-up visits to new customers to troubleshoot start-up issues and provide additional coaching.
• Troubleshoot and repair existing autonomy systems at dealer/customer locations.
• Understand and capture dealer/customer requests for new features and capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Ag or Mechanical Engineering, Ag Systems Technology, Ag Systems Management, or related experience.
• Farming background and experience operating agricultural equipment and precision agriculture technology.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable demonstrating and explaining new technology to others.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Ability to install brackets, devices, and harnesses onto a vehicle.
• Capability to learn and understand electrical and communication systems.
• Must be able to load and tow tractors and implements with a pickup truck and trailer.
