About the position
The Field Application Engineer at ABB plays a crucial role in promoting and educating target audiences about ABB's products and solutions in the electrical distribution sector. This position focuses on building long-term customer relationships and implementing proactive marketing strategies to create market demand for specific features and products.
Responsibilities
- Implement proactive promotional activities, including technical presentations, demonstrations, seminars, and educational materials.
- Create plans for target audience visits and conduct regular status reviews, analyzing insights from these visits.
- Establish and maintain effective long-term relationships with target group customers to understand their needs.
- Ensure efficient marketing activities and strong value propositions to customers using effective promotional techniques.
Requirements
- B.S. degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of three years of experience in the electrical distribution or manufacturing industry.
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
- Previous field, plant, or design engineering experience in electrical power systems, preferably in oil and gas companies, electric utilities, or industrial facilities.
- Knowledge of industry codes and standards such as ANSI, IEEE, NEC, NEMA, NFPA 70E, UL.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with ABB products and solutions.
- Familiarity with medium-voltage systems and applications.
