The Field Application Engineer at ABB plays a crucial role in promoting and educating target audiences about ABB's products and solutions in the electrical distribution sector. Responsibilities

• Implement proactive promotional activities, including technical presentations, demonstrations, seminars, and educational materials.
• Create plans for target audience visits and conduct regular status reviews, analyzing insights and outputs from these visits.
• Establish and maintain effective long-term relationships with target group customers to understand their needs.
• Ensure efficient marketing activities and strong value proposition to customers using effective promotional techniques.

Requirements

• B.S. degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• Minimum of three years of experience in the electrical distribution or manufacturing industry.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
• Previous field, plant, or design engineering experience in electrical power systems at major oil and gas companies, electric utilities, or industrial facilities preferred.
• Knowledge of industry codes and standards such as ANSI, IEEE, NEC, NEMA, NFPA 70E, UL preferred.
• Candidates must have work authorization to work for ABB in the US.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with ABB products and solutions.
• Familiarity with medium-voltage air- and gas-insulated switchgear.
