About the position

Bluewhite is seeking a passionate Field Application Engineer to join our US team and help build a world-leading brand in autonomous technology and 21st-century farming. This role is based in Fresno, CA, and involves physical work with significant impact and potential for professional and personal growth. As a Field Application Engineer, you will lead the technical support in agricultural environments, implementing and maintaining autonomous robotics systems installed on tractors. This position is crucial for enhancing product functionalities and ensuring customer satisfaction through a blend of fieldwork and collaboration with our R&D and Product teams. In this role, you will spearhead the deployment of Linux-based robotic systems, ensuring seamless integration with cloud infrastructure. You will provide onsite support to customers by offering creative technical solutions, troubleshooting issues, and contributing insights to the R&D and Product roadmap. Your responsibilities will also include installing and monitoring robotics systems across customer sites, ensuring robust connectivity and performance. Collaboration with the Israel-based R&D team will be essential, requiring adaptability to various time zones and work schedules. Maintaining rigorous safety standards in all field operations and adhering to company policies while using required personal protective equipment is a must. The position requires handling flexible work hours, including nights and weekends, to meet the evolving needs of our clients and projects. You will also be responsible for training and sharing knowledge with team members to enhance overall technical capabilities within the company. Responsibilities

  • Spearhead the deployment of Linux-based robotic systems, ensuring seamless integration with cloud infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Experienced in deploying and supporting Linux-based products.
  • Hands-on experience with field deployment and troubleshooting of complex systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to work safely and adhere to all safety procedures and policies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a strong analytical approach to resolving multidisciplinary system issues.
  • Outstanding communication skills, capable of effectively articulating technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders and documenting processes.
  • Proven customer service skills to assist clients effectively and optimize their use of robotic solutions.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to drive project success.
  • Flexible and adaptable to meet changing project requirements and work conditions.

  • Must be authorized to work in the US.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to accommodate a flexible schedule, including weekends and night shifts as needed.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in programming and operational testing in professional or academic projects involving autonomous systems.
  • Proficient with the Robot Operating System (ROS).
