As part of BICO Group, a leading bio convergence company, DISPENDIX is committed to enabling scientists and researchers worldwide to make groundbreaking discoveries in drug discovery, diagnostics, and personalized medicine. The company is seeking a Field Application Specialist & Field Service Engineer based in the greater Boston Area to support its rapidly growing global applications team. This role promises an enriching experience, working alongside some of the brightest minds in the industry, in a company that heavily invests in high-caliber resources and product development. The Field Application Specialist & Field Service Engineer will be responsible for the entire customer success continuum, which includes installation, training, applications development, and service support. The successful candidate will understand customer application requirements and translate them into high-quality pre-sales support, as well as conduct installation and training sessions to facilitate customer onboarding. Additionally, the role involves developing applications with customers to ensure their success in target markets such as genomics and drug discovery. The candidate will document and manage applications and service caseloads using the Salesforce platform, including site visits, installation, and application reports. Technical service, maintenance, and repairs of liquid handling equipment will also be part of the responsibilities. The position requires close collaboration with key stakeholders within the company to drive customer satisfaction, communicate challenges, and share customer success stories. The Field Application Specialist will be responsible for specific customer accounts and is expected to work autonomously while being part of a growing team focused on the US market. This role will involve 60-80% travel within the Eastern part of the US, making it essential for the candidate to be adaptable and ready to engage with clients directly.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for entire customer success continuum including installation, training, applications development, and service support.
  • Understand customer application requirements and translate to high-quality pre-sales support, as well as installation and training sessions to facilitate customer onboarding.
  • Develop applications with customers and ensure customer success in the context of our target markets (e.g. genomics and drug discovery).
  • Document and manage applications and service caseload in Salesforce platform including site visit, installation, and application reports.
  • Technical service, maintenance and repairs of our liquid handling equipment.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders in the company to drive customer satisfaction, communicate challenges, and share customer success stories.
  • Responsible for main specific customer accounts, and are expected to be autonomous.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Engineering or related field.
  • Technical expertise working in the laboratory in the biotech field.
  • Knowledge of drug discovery and genomics workflows is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with liquid handling is strongly preferred.
  • Experience developing automated methods on liquid handlers, especially liquid class development preferred.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficiency in English.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies such as SCRUM.
