About the position

The Field Applications Engineer role at KLA is focused on providing technical applications support for the development and implementation of KLA products in customer fabrication facilities. This position is essential for ensuring customer satisfaction and product effectiveness, as it involves working closely with sales teams and customers to assess needs, prepare specifications, and implement installation plans. The role also emphasizes the importance of analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication, particularly in delivering technical presentations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical applications support for KLA products in customer fabrication facilities.
  • Assist sales staff in assessing potential applications of company products to meet customer needs.
  • Prepare detailed product specifications.
  • Implement detailed customer installation plans.
  • Provide follow-up support in disseminating technical information on specific applications.
  • Develop new applications, use cases, and best-known methods for increasing the value of KLA products for customers.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to shape product roadmaps and manage Beta and evaluation closures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Level Degree in Physics, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Materials Science.
  • 0 years of related work experience.
  • Strong analytical and complex problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated and driven to make a positive impact.
  • Excellent written and communication skills, including the ability to deliver technical presentations clearly.
  • Experience in the semiconductor fabrication industry and semiconductor processing is desirable.
  • Knowledge of optics, ellipsometry, X-ray metrology, Optical CD 2D/3D modeling, statistical analysis tools, and machine learning concepts is desirable.
  • Programming and scripting skills are an added advantage.
