As a Field Applications Engineer at KLA, you will play a pivotal role in providing technical applications support for the development and implementation of KLA products in customer fabrication facilities. This position is essential to KLA's technology, and while we do not currently have an opening, we are always building our Field Applications Engineering talent community and are interested in learning about your background for future opportunities. You will be responsible for presenting on all aspects of KLA products, ensuring that customers understand the full capabilities and applications of our technologies. In this role, you will assist the sales staff in assessing the potential application of company products to meet customer needs. This includes preparing detailed product specifications and implementing comprehensive customer installation plans. Your follow-up support will be crucial in disseminating technical information on specific applications, ensuring that customers can maximize the value of KLA products. Additionally, you will be involved in developing new applications, use cases, and best-known methods to enhance the value of our offerings. The position requires strong analytical and complex problem-solving skills, as well as a self-motivated attitude to make a positive impact. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to shape the product roadmap and facilitate Beta and evaluation closures. Excellent written and communication skills are essential, particularly in delivering technical presentations with clarity. Experience in the semiconductor fabrication industry and semiconductor processing is highly desirable, along with knowledge of optics, ellipsometry, X-ray metrology, Optical CD 2D/3D modeling, statistical analysis tools, and machine learning concepts. Programming and scripting skills will be considered an added advantage. Candidates must also be willing to travel within the US as part of their responsibilities.
