About the position
The FAE Intern position at Renesas offers an opportunity for Electrical or Computer Engineering students to gain hands-on experience in the semiconductor industry. The intern will work closely with Field Application Engineers and Sales teams to learn about Renesas' technology and its applications in consumer products. The role involves understanding design parameters, demonstrating technology, and addressing customer needs, culminating in a presentation of a working model at the end of the internship.
Responsibilities
- Learn design parameters of multiple technologies to demonstrate a working model.
- Meet with customers to cultivate and convert design opportunities.
- Position Renesas products and demonstrate technology.
- Address customer obstacles and advance opportunities to design wins.
- Conduct product characterization, design simulations, and competitive analysis.
- Present a working model of the block diagram, accomplishments, obstacles, and overall discovery of Renesas technology to peers and mentors.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science major.
- Knowledge about the semiconductor industry is a plus.
- Familiarity with MATLAB, Simulink Model, and Simulation tools is a plus.
- Experience with Embedded C and Eclipse-based development environment is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are mandatory.
- Self-motivated team player who can take direction and work independently.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and communicate effectively.
