About the position

The Field Applications Engineer (FAE) position at Amphenol IPC involves interfacing with customers and collaborating with internal Engineering and Sales and Marketing teams, focusing on power conversion technology. This remote role, based in the Santa Clara region, emphasizes building relationships with key accounts and providing technical support throughout the sales cycle. The FAE is expected to contribute to product presentations, customer service, and strategic differentiation of products, while also staying updated on industry developments.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical aspects of the sales cycle as an engineering resource on the AIPC Business Development team.
• Develop personal relationships and rapport with key design influencers at key accounts.
• Provide technical marketing support for the development and implementation of AIPC solutions.
• Prepare materials and participate in product presentations.
• Provide customer service to solve complex interconnect problems and technical inquiries.
• Help devise strategies to differentiate our products and solutions from competitors.
• Participate in industry standards, events, and training sessions to remain current with new developments in power conversion technologies.

Requirements

• BS Degree in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis on Power Electronics is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience providing product marketing and technical sales support to produce design wins.
• Strong Mechanical Design experience is a plus.
• Ability to effectively communicate across Engineering and Managerial functions.
• Solid presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• High level of organization and customer service abilities.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite.
• Experience with modeling tools (CAD, Pro E, or Solidworks).
