About the position

The Field Application Engineer (FAE) at Supermicro will be part of a dynamic team focused on developing opportunities in the global IT market. This role involves working closely with customers at all levels, managing projects in collaboration with internal and external teams, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective solutions. The FAE will play a crucial role in driving business growth by addressing customer technical issues and coordinating with various departments to meet project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer technical issues and drive them to closure.
• Work with various internal teams to assist with the implementation of customer solutions using products and platforms.
• Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, Management, and Operations teams to support business at the customer.
• Guide customer projects and delivery together with Sales and Operations teams.
• Understand system hardware and software interactions and convey that information to internal stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or Computer Science and 5+ years of experience, or an equivalent combination of professional experience and training.
• Analytical mindset with good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to draw upon technical and/or product knowledge in configuration of Supermicro or related products.
• Experience in business IT systems, datacenter builds, server and/or workstation technology.

Nice-to-haves

• Prior Server FAE/Sales Engineer/Solution Architect experience.
