About the position

The Field Applications Engineer at Onto Innovation is responsible for ensuring the proper installation and functionality of software applications on semiconductor tools, maintaining compliance with Copy Exact (CE) standards. This role involves debugging software issues, verifying configurations, calibrating instruments, and maintaining application databases, while collaborating closely with Intel Process Engineers to drive continuous improvement processes.

Responsibilities

• Install all requisite software applications on the tool for proper Copy Exact (CE) compliance.
• Verify installed software functionality, debug installation impedances, and report unresolved errors.
• Ensure CE compliance for all configurations (software and hardware) and report findings internally and externally to customers.
• Calibrate instruments for SE and SR.
• Maintain applications database retention using JMP, Ontolog, and Excel.
• Qualify tool applications for matching and periodic sustaining based on customer requirements.
• Lead meetings with Intel Process Engineers and Tool Owners for matching assessments and continuous improvement processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's of Science or engineering degree in any discipline.
• Minimum of two years of direct semiconductor experience.
