The role requires a proactive approach to engage with users and potential users of Coilcraft products, addressing their applications and design challenges effectively. As a Field Applications Engineer, you will be responsible for promoting beneficial partnerships with other manufacturers by cooperating on reference designs. This collaboration is essential for enhancing the product offerings and ensuring that customer needs are met. You will also work closely with Coilcraft's operations and engineering teams to support specific customer requirements, ensuring that the solutions provided are tailored to their needs. Additionally, you will gather market intelligence through your interactions with users and potential users, which will be invaluable for identifying new requirements for Coilcraft products in the California Bay Area. This position not only requires technical expertise but also excellent communication skills, as you will be the bridge between the customers and the company. Responsibilities

  • Meet with users and potential users of Coilcraft products concerning applications and design challenges. Recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Promote beneficial partnerships with other manufacturers through cooperation on reference designs.
  • Work with Coilcraft's operations and engineering teams to support customers' specific needs.
  • Provide Coilcraft with market intelligence gained through interactions with users and potential users.
  • Identify potential new requirements for Coilcraft products in the California Bay Area.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience. Education in electrical engineering, electrical engineering technology or physics is preferred.
  • 3+ years relevant work experience within the electronics components or related industry
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
  • Willingness to travel.
