About the position

As a Field Applications Engineer, you will play a crucial role in providing expert support to customers in the design and implementation of our products. This position requires a highly motivated and technically proficient individual who excels at solving complex technical challenges and building strong customer relationships. You will collaborate closely with engineering, sales, and marketing teams to ensure customer success and drive business growth. Your expertise will be essential in evaluating and recommending products that meet customer design requirements, as well as troubleshooting and optimizing customer systems utilizing our products. In this role, you will also be responsible for delivering technical training and seminars to customers and channel partners, assisting them in designing, simulating, testing, and optimizing external circuitry for product integration. You will develop and publish technical content such as whitepapers, case studies, and training materials to educate and inform customers about our products and their applications. Providing technical support through various channels, including phone and email, will be a key part of your responsibilities, as will collaborating with internal teams to resolve complex customer issues. Additionally, you will conduct laboratory testing and support product development efforts, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and performance. Your role may also involve providing backup support to other field applications engineers as needed, making teamwork and collaboration essential to your success in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and recommend products to meet customer design requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineering and applications teams to develop new product concepts and applications.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize customer systems utilizing our products.
  • Deliver technical training and seminars to customers and channel partners.
  • Assist customers in designing, simulating, testing, and optimizing external circuitry for product integration.
  • Develop and publish technical content (whitepapers, case studies, training materials) to educate and inform customers.
  • Provide technical support to customers through various channels (phone, email).
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex customer issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in engineering applications related to analog, mixed signal, and/or power electronics.
  • Strong understanding of analog and power integrated circuits and their applications in industrial markets.
  • Proven track record in technical marketing or applications engineering.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% domestically.
