About the position

The Field Applications Engineer will work closely with the ams-OSRAM Sales team to provide technical support and promotion of sensor products. This role focuses on applications involving optical sensors, vital signs, time-of-flight sensors, LEDs, and lasers. The engineer will support OEM accounts and distribution partners, offering technical training and customer application support while collaborating with various teams to drive design wins and expand the product base.

Responsibilities

• Support customers in the technical promotion of ams sensor products through presentations and demonstrations.
• Provide technical training and application support to selected OEM accounts and distribution partners.
• Utilize problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in the field to address customer needs.
• Identify applications and create application block diagrams, providing feedback to business lines on target markets.
• Collaborate with sales teams on new account development and expand the product base at existing accounts.
• Proactively support customer design engineers and assist sales in driving design wins.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar field.
• Experience with optical electronics and systems level design in mixed-signal circuits for consumer and industrial applications.
• At least 5 years of experience in an international analog semiconductor company.
• Excellent communication skills in oral and written English.
• High initiative, self-motivation, and a hard-working attitude.
• Willingness to work with international teams and travel as needed.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work.
